Made a quick trip to Los Angeles County Museum of Art to check out the new James Turrell retrospective. Turrell’s immersive light installations are everywhere this summer: here at LACMA, at the Guggenheim in New York, and at The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. This was my third visit to LACMA in 6 months, which made me wonder if I should get an annual membership? I think I am not alone in dutifully researching museum passes when traveling, but I don’t look for similar opportunities to save closer to home. Turns out LACMA’s Indie membership ($50 for one person, free admission to all special exhibitions) is worth the price! Now I can look forward to more art, and more chai lattes at the C+M café.
